Hello,
I'm using BQ24160RGE in my project, and connecting BGATE to an external PMOS. When VBAT is less than VBATUVLO, Q4 (internal battery FET) would be turned off [1].
And [2] said BGATE is working under VBATUVLO < VBAT < 4.5V. Will BGATE be turned off (pulled high) together with Q4 if VBAT fell below VBATUVLO?
[1] [a] ch 8.3.6 "If the battery voltage is less than VBATUVLO, the internal battery FET (Q4) remains off and BAT is high-impedance."
[2] [a] ch 7.5 "Battery range for BGATE and supplement mode"
Hi Andy,
Yes. BGATE turns on the external FET when V(BAT) < VBATUVLO.
Regards,
Jeff
