TPS3820-Q1: WDO pin function

Part Number: TPS3820-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3820

Hi Team,

The figure below shows the circuit and measurement waveform of TPS3820, and the questions are as follows:
1. When the WDI pin has PWM input, the output voltage of the WDO pin is LO. This state is contrary to normal usage habits, can you help confirm it?
(PWM signal frequency 7KHz, maximum voltage 3.3V)

2. The WDO pin of TPS3820-33QDBVRQ1 is a Push-pull output, and there is no need to connect the pull high resistor R1, but the output of the WDO pin without R1 and C14 changes very little, as if the pull high resistor is not connected, can you help confirm?

  • Hi Kevin,

Thank you for your question. Can you please provide the following clarifications so that we may better assist you?

    1. How does the output of the WDO pin change without R1 and C14 connected. You stated that it changes very little, do you have a scope shot to show this change?

    2. Can you please provide a more zoomed in scope shot when the WDI has a PWM input?

    Thank you,

    Joshua Austria
