About LM5066I have reverse current(Voltage) blocking functionality?

Should we add back to back FET circuit?

if any suggestion, Please advise me.

Hi Lawrence,

LM5066I can support back to back FET circuit as shown below which can block reverse current in OFF state.

What is the application? EE? Do they need PMBus support?

Can you look at TPS2663 for true reverse current blocking and reverse voltage protection

The application is induction motors,

so we add back to back FET, the LM5066I SENSE pin can detect reverse current and then FET is off?

if any, Please advise me.

No. For that, you need to use TPS2663. If the current level is >6A, please consider LM74910-Q1 which supports back-to-back FET configuration and true reverse current protection.

Hi Lawrence,

Z1 blocks reverse current but for reverse voltage blocking you also need a diode in the controller ground as shown in Figure-1 in https://www.ti.com/lit/an/snva683/snva683.pdf

LM74910-Q1 simplifies the design over LM5066I for reverse current and reverse voltage protection. Please check
