TPS7B4254-Q1: ADJ Voltage

Part Number: TPS7B4254-Q1

Hi team,

2 question about ADJ:

  • How does it work when the ADJ is less than 2V? (Disable?)
  • Is it a problem to apply voltage to ADJ when VIN is 0V?

Kind regards,

Goto

  • Hi Goto-san,

    Question 1:

    From the Electrical Characteristics Table:

ADJ pin below 0.7 V will disable the output.

ADJ pin above 2 V will enable the output.

ADJ pin between 0.7 V and 2 V is not guaranteed to be either enabled or disabled. The output will turn on between 0.7 V and 2 V, but we do not guarantee turn-on for all conditions until ADJ pin reaches 2 V.

    Question 2:

No, that is not a problem.

From the Absolute Maximum Ratings table:

ADJ - IN voltage should be limited to 18 V.

    Vadj - Vin = 18 V (limit).

If Vin = 0 V, then ADJ voltage up to 18 V is acceptable.

    Best,

    Eric
