Part Number: TPS61169

I have designed the board using the TPS61169DCKR  with the Rset value to 816mohm , the expected output current (ILED) will be 250 mA. However, the measured ILED is far lower than the expected value, i am getting 120mA only. I have connected the 12 LEDs are in series. Please let me know why it is giving 120mA only

    Hi Gnanam,

    TPS61169 has an internal switch current limit 1.2A, so with 12 LEDs in series and 250mA, the input peak current might reach this limit so that the output current is lower. You can capture the inductor current to help confirm whether this issue is caused by the current limit.
