LM5160-Q1: LM5160-Q1 /LM5180-Q1

Part Number: LM5160-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5180-Q1, , LM5180, LM5160

Hello TI expert,

Does LM5160-Q1 / LM5180-Q1's output voltage can directly supply for load ? (because of transformer)

or we need add one additional voltage regulator to get stable output voltage for load?

Thank you!

  • LM5160 and LM5180 are two different topologies.

The secondaries are all-regulated in both cases.

LM5180 maybe a better choice over LM5160 if line/load regulation is of highest importance, and the power levels are relatively high (ie: POUT > 10W)
