I use this part for several location on PCB. I found the difference of protection behavior when I tested OCP item.
So I'd like to check the fault event can be adjustable in configuration?
The current limits is set by 4.5A and please refer to waveform below.
1. The Imax go high to 5.12A and the protection is applied, and you can see the current did not go down to zero. It can be observed that the current is clamped around 4~4.5A.
2. Checking in detail for the behavior. This is auto-retry mode.
CH1: Vin, CH2: PWM, CH3: Vout, CH4: Iout
However, when I tested in other location with same part for LP8764-Q1.
The fault event is shown below, which voltage and current go down to zero. So this should be latch-off mode.
Therefore, is the fault event setting different for these two config files?
