TPS62097: Problem where Vout increases and soft start becomes invalid when Vin start is not 0V

Guru 19495 points
Part Number: TPS62097

I'm having issues with a very small number of TPS62097PWKRs.

When raising a specific TPS62097 from Vin: 330mV to 3.3V, the following two problems will occur.

(It operates normally when Vin rises from just under 300mV.)

・Vout increases slightly to around 1.95V compared to the setting of 1.8V.

・Soft start circuit is disabled and Vout rises in about 100μs.

By the way, when VOUT and VSS begin to rise, the MODE pin does not generate a minute pulse.

I think it's a problem with the IC itself, but would you please let me know about the internal functions below?

①Is there a power on reset circuit inside the IC?

If so, please let me know the voltage for starting and canceling operation.

②Regarding the Band Gap Reference circuit, is there an internal control circuit that takes the offset (e.g. 330mV, not 0V) into consideration?

③Are there any documents regarding the TPS62097 that describe the conditions and precautions regarding powering on from offset?

④Are there any conditions for the slew rate of the input power supply?

If it is listed in the documentation, please let me know where it is located.

If you require further information, please contact us directly via email.

Best regards,

Satoshi
