TPS7A52-Q1: TPS7A5201QRGRRQ1

Part Number: TPS7A52-Q1

Hi Team,

This Query is regarding TPS7A5201QRGRRQ1 LDO,

Q1)is it recommended to keep Power Good pin(Pin 4) of TPS7A52-Q1 open ,when Power Good Functionality is not needed?

Q2)What will be the impact if PG pin is kept open and not pulled to Out as per recommendation from datasheet?

  • Hi Sourav,

No the PG pin does not need to be left floating (open), in fact we generally recommend that PG be shorted to GND for better thermal performance if the PG functionality is not needed.

If the PG pin is left floating, there will not be any change to the LDO's behavior (other than the obvious fact that the user cannot use the Power Good functionality).
