SiliconExpert is contracted by our customer to work with their suppliers for accuracy and compliance.

TPS5450DDAR has no recommended replacement according to this latest published PDN download.siliconexpert.com/.../ti_202308170003_08212023_eol.pdf, however, TPS5450-EP is listed as an enhanced product in the part datasheet, so Why didn't TI list this part as recommended replacement in the discontinuation notice for TPS5450DDAR?

Hi Mohamed,

The team has said that while the device is active at the moment, it is only due to government contracts we have at the moment. These contracts could end at any time, where the device would then be discontinued. I do not recommend using the EP version as an alternative for TPS5450DDAR.

Since TPS5450-EP can be discontinued at any time due to government contracts, the internal team does not want to use TPS5450-EP as a replacement for TPS5450DDAR.
