when you mention VCC_1V8 is this ext.  bias voltage to chip,  because when I see the schematic AVIN is powered through 12Vin
can you clarify on this

Sorry, I can't get your point. 
Can you please explain it more clearly? Spec as below. 

VCC_1V8
Vin=12V
Vout=1.8V
Iout=2.488(MAX)
ILIM=5.5A
Frequency=1MHz

the blow are some of the things I have noticed after looking at the schematic and the information provided

1. What is VCC_1V8?(is it the name of the rail) 

2. does SCL and SDA pins have pull up resistors 

3. to calculate the Cout we need Vout ripple and also  transients ,
for transients I have assumed 0.5A load step, if the load step is higher than what I have assumed the application may need more output capacitance

2. I have assumed 0.5A load step and found the Cout capacitance is sufficient, if the step is larger may need more Cout. Thanks.

Iout MAX= 2.5, load step=1.25 , how much Cout capacitor is needed? could you tell me? Thanks.
