In an Automotive Project of ours we are using TPS36BA38ACADDFRQ1.

The Reset out is connected to an NMI of MCU,The reset is always high,its not going Low.

The set 0 and Set 1 pins are high,The WDI input is toggled

i have attached the schematics, Please review and share your thoughts

To assert RESET low, you can set VDD to below the Vit of the device, 2.9V for your device, or stop toggling the WDI, or toggle the WDI outside of your configured watchdog window.

Hello Jesse,

We still cannot pull the reset low.Infact our Vdd is constant and we cannot drop it to 2.9V.But we toggled WDI outside the window, Kept it low,Kept it High.But still the reset is still High.

Hi Sobin,

Could you please try to remove R450 and R1712, just to make sure that the SETx pins are getting pulled up without disturbance then set the WDI signal LOW.

Just for clarification, R1665, R1723 and R455 are not populated?

Hello Jesse,

Thanks for the suggestions,I could see the RESET toggling. when the Open window and close window timings are not met.

Is this waveform correct ?.The waveforms remains high.

Hi Sobin,

That is good to hear. Yes that waveform is correct. The RESET pin will remain HIGH until a watchdog fault is detected, either an early fault or late fault, then the RESET will assert LOW for tRST time then de-assert HIGH again.
