TPS2595: ILim setting accuracy

Part Number: TPS2595

Hi team,

There is a equation to set ILim. Is the 2000 and 0.04 typical value? How can I estimate the real Ilimit accuracy?

If we can not comment on the each value&s accuracy, please let me know the Ilimit fluctuation value such as ±7.5% with one Rilm value or so on. I know resistor accuracy should be considered.

Best regards,

Hayashi

  • Hi Hayashi,

Yes, the value 2000 and .04 gives you typical value in this formula and ±7.5% is the variation you get from the typical value due to PVT variations and using 1% tolerance resistors.

For a given value of Rlim, you get a Ilimit value using the above formula. So, now your actual Ilimit will be between ±7.5% range of this value and accurate value cannot be predicted using any formula. Only a range can be estimated. This already includes effects of 1% tolerance at Rlim value.

Please reply here if I wasn't able to address your question properly.

    Best Regards,
