The customer design with BQ27742-G1, the chip can communication normal; directly short the output terminal P+ and P-. At this time, the chip lost the communication.

Hello Star,
There is no specific feature in the gauge that would cause this behavior to happen when you perform a short circuit test. When the test is performed, is there a loss of power to the gauge or a brownout? This could explain this behavior.
