TPSM63603: Negative output

Hi All,

I have a question about the – Negative output voltage of the TPSM63603.
Is it possible to achieve an output of -12V with an input of 24V as shown in the circuit diagram below?
I don't think it can output -12V because the output voltage is insufficient.
Is my understanding correct?

Hi Shuji

I think the concern would be the voltage stress. The voltage stress would be (Vin+|Vo|) instead of (Vin) in buck configuration. It should be able to output -12V if the Vin is lower than 24V. What's your application needs?

The customer wants to input 24V and output -12V.
Is LMZ34002 a device that can be used?

What's the end equipment here and how about the Vin margin, Is 40V ok ?

How about the Iout needed, do we only consider module here?

VOUT=-12V
IOUT=0.5A

Customers want power modules.

What is the input source and will the Vinmax>24V ?

Will customer take a look at TPSM5601R5H?

If customer consider using converter, I would recommend LMR51610. There is also an apps note for LMR51610 operating as inverting buck boost.
