ATL432LI-Q1: ATL432Li accuracy range confirmation

Part Number: ATL432LI-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ATL431LI

Hi team,

The accuracy range in DS is measured under normal temperature conditions, Ika=1mA. If in circuit design, Ika=0.08~15mA, will the accuracy range change? If so, what is the accuracy range after the change?

  • Hello,

    The dynamic impedance of ATL431LI can cause the output voltage to change with current.

    The vref error caused by Ika and Vka can be calculated as

    If VKA ≤ 10 V then;

    VREF = 2.5V + (IKA – 1mA) x 0.65 + (VKA – 2.5V) x –1.4 mV/V

    If VKA > 10 then;

    VREF = 2.5V + (IKA – 1mA) * 0.65 + (VKA – 10 V) x –1 mV/V –10.5 mV

    Best,

    Walter

  • Hi Walter,

    The practical application of ATL432LIBQDBZRQ1 is shown in the figure below.

    According to the specification, it should be of type VKA=VREF.
    Because the VREF in the specification is the result under IKA=1mA.

    Therefore, I would like to know how much deviation the output voltage VKA will have (compared to 1mA) in the above practical application (IKA = 11. Several mA).

    I have some questions about the following formula:

    1) What kind of parameter is 0.65 and what is its unit?
    2) If VKA is calculated using the above formula, how should VREF be selected? There is only 1mA data in the specification book.

    Please help confirm. I would be even more grateful if you could help me calculate it.

  • Hello Alan,

    0.65 is the typical dynamic impedance in ohms. For VKA=VREF and ika = 11mA

    VREF = 2.5V + (11mA – 1mA) x 0.65 + (2.5V – 2.5V) x –1.4 mV/V

    VREF = 2.5065V typical. There will still be a 0.5% accuracy for ATL432LIBQDBZRQ1

    Vref = 2.494V min, 2.507V typ, 2.519 max.

    Best,

    Walter
