TPS659039-Q1: SMPS light load operating mode

Part Number: TPS659039-Q1

Hi Team,

For the TPS659039-Q1, SMPS8 is configured as 1.06V and load is 0.007W as per the efficiency curve "Figure 5-9. SMPS Efficiency for 1-A Single-Phase PWM Mode" in page 35 of datasheet it has around 15%. From this if we calculate the Duty cycle of SMPS8 it gives a value greater than 1 with Vin=5V. Duty=(Vout/(Vin*efficiency))
Is there any other mode of switching in SMPS for light load condition?
In datasheet it says below 5mA, mode of operation is ECO.

Since the load current is greater than 5mA and it is considered as PWM mode of operation, while calculating the valley current it gives negative values (Usually in buck converters negative value means the system is in DCM mode of operation).
