LMR51430EVM: Why the first and second hiccup mode trigger time is different?

Part Number: LMR51430EVM

Hi team,

I tested the LMR51430EVM, it is a 500kHz fsw BUCK.

When i am doing a short circuit test(from 0 load to short circuit), i noticed that the first hiccup triggered only 338us after short circuit event happens, but in datasheet says it needs 256 consecutive cycles to trigger the hiccup mode, if the fsw is around 500kHz, then it should take longer time to trigger hiccup mode protection. Second hiccup mode trigger time is just like the datasheet (picture 9-8 and 9-9)

Why the first hiccup mode protection takes different time?

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Bowen
