hi experts
when i read this APP note:How to Design a Boost Converter Using LM5155 (ti.com)
i cannot find how to calculate Isupply.
i know Isupply means input supply current of the boost converter. BUT how to get 2.985A
Hi Jay,
Thanks for using the e2e forum.
The output power or output current and voltage need to be defined by the application requirements.
In an ideal system (efficiency = 100%), Pout = Pin. This way the input current can be calculated.
Best regards,
Niklas
ok got it. if i use efficiency = 100%,Vout=24V,Iout=2A,Isupply=2.985A, then Vsupply is 16.08V
if use efficiency = 90%, Isupply is close to 2.985A
