BQ25606: About charge disable state.

Part Number: BQ25606

Hi team,

Our customer test this device by using AC adopter as input supply.

My understanding is that if we unplugged adopter when charge enable state, this device detect charge disable status and STAT switch high and keep.

But in this customer case, STAT pin become high in a moment only and keep Low.

In this case, device doesn't detect charge disable?
Could you tell the charge disable detected condition?

Best regards,

teritama

  • Hi Teritama,

Can you please confirm your setup? By default when I apply 5 V VBUS and 4.0 VBAT I charge at 1 A. STAT is low then. When I disconnect the input, charge stops and STAT goes high.

This matches the described behavior. Low for charging and high for sleep mode/charge disable.

    Regards,

    Mike Emanuel

  • Hi Mike,

Sorry for late reply and thank you for support.

It was found this issue is caused by specifications of supply that used to pull up supply on STAT.

    So this issue is resolved.

    Best regards,

    teritama
