TPS62871-Q1: Reading register

Part Number: TPS62871-Q1

Hi Experts,

Is it possible to read or write continuous register values when communicating with the chip in I2C?

For example, I was wondering if I could communicate as shown in the picture below and read 3 bytes with consecutive address values like CONTROL1, 2, and 3.

I'm asking because the data sheet contains only a sequence of reading one byte at a time.

I’d appreciate it if you could check it quickly.

  • Hi Dustin,

TPS62871-Q1 part can support multiple read/ write communication.

However, just curious about the end application that required it. Can you help to share more details on application?

    Thanks,

    Tanvee

  • Hi Tanvee,

TPS62871-Q1 part can support multiple read/ write communication.

=> I don't understand it exactly. Could you please help me with details?

Customer wonder this IC can support 3 bytes data communication at once.

Since there are several IC which can support only 8 bytes.

But I don't know the use case of general capacity of communication, could you please let me know?

    Or share any document?

  • Hi Dustin,

Data byte Tulip can communicate is still 8 byte not 3 byte.

I have shared information on standard we used for I2C communication that can help you.

    Best regards,

    Tanvee
