LM74670-Q1: Minimum Forward Voltage Drop

Part Number: LM74670-Q1

Hi,

I was wondering if the device will work properly if a Schottky diode is in parallel with the body diode in the NFET. Does this part have a minimum forward voltage drop across the body diode?

Thank you,

Matthew Bavier

  • Hi Matthew,

Yes, the LM74670-Q1 device requires a minimum of 0.48V across the body diode of the FET for the internal charge pump to build voltage and the device to function normally.

So, the external body diode should have a minimum forward voltage drop of 0.48V under all conditions.
