UCC28C44: Pspice for TI simulation is not working - UCC28C4x

Hi,

I created a booster circuit using UC28C43. It worked fine in Tina TI, but I cannot simulate in Pspice for TI. I tried swapping models with UCC28C41 and UCC28C43 but could not run the simulations. A few error messages are below for reference:

ERROR(ORPSIM-15660): These devices failed to converge

ERROR(ORPSIM-16550): Floating point computation failed during matrix solution. Possible solutions: 1)Ensure that all device parameters are in valid range. 2)Try using .options LIMIT

I have attached a schematic for your reference. Can you please help resolve the issue?

Hi Vishal,

-I downloaded the UCC28C43 Pspice model from ti.com and runed start up and steady state simulations without problems. That error would come when TI spice models are not included. I recommend downloading the UCC28C43 Pspice model from ti.com (see link below) and try to include it in your simulation files. Another option you can try is create and replicate your booster circuit from that model.

Thanks for the reply. It did not work for me. Did you use the above project and replace the model or did you create a separate project? Is it possible for you to share the working copy so I can verify that I can run? I have attached snapshots for your reference.

Hi Vishal,

I created a separate project using UCC28C53. It is the same project that is automatically created when downloading the Pspice model from ti.com. I recommend doing the same.

Hi Manuel,

I used the default project for UCC28C41 and then copied the schematic page under UCC28C41_STARTUP to create my booster schematic inside the same project. I could then run the simulation.
