TPS65988: UCSI support

Hello!

I have a TPS65988DH device and issuing any UCSI 4CC commands always return "Task Rejected". This five year old thread (https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/762097/tps65988-does-tps65988-support-usci-and-ucmcx) states "The TPS65988 gained UCSI command support in version CG and later". Is my DH version not later than CG? If not, how do I know sunch things, I can't seem to find any version history of TPS65988 on the texas site (or anywhere else). Or, is there something I need to setup in order to get UCSI commands to not reject?

Can you provide the project file you are using?

Are you using an EVM or your own design?

Hi!

We are using an own design. Attached is the project file. I do have an EVM lying around somewhere. Not sure what version of TPS65988 is used on the EVM though.

What 4CC comands are you sending?

I used your project file and the TPS65988 EVM and I'm able to send [SSRC], and [HRST].

Hi!

But SSRC and HRST aren't UCSI commands, are they? I mean the commands of chapter 4.15 in slvubh2b.pdf. I tried for example UCSI - GET_ERROR_STATUS, which according to the manual "always return a successful task return code". But nevermind, I got it working, I must have made an error in setting the correct values in Data1/Cmd1 i2c registers. Now the UCSI - GET_ERROR_STATUS return "Task completed successfully". Sorry for wasting your time
