TPS61027: Failure of the component (short-circuit between VIN and GND)

Part Number: TPS61027

Hello,

I am using the TPS61027DRCR regulator to convert a 4-cell battery (3.6V to 6.5V) to 5V. When I start testing the PCB, I see a sudden increase in current because a short-circuit is produced between the input voltage (VBAT) and GND. This short-circuit is made by the TPS61027 when it breaks down. The short-circuit disappears when I remove the component.

I have attached an image of the schematic and the PCB in case someone sees an error in what's happening. Notice that R10 is not fitted (I just made the footprint in case it was needed). The EN pin is asserted with an auxiliary circuit controlled by a button and a flip-flop (it is set to high at VBAT voltage).

Thank you very much in advance for your help!
