Buck Controller requirement

Hi,

I'm looking for a buck controller which is similar to UC2827.

Below listed the required features,

1. Cycle by cycle over current limiting

2. Supply Voltage : 3 to 20V

3. Switching frequency : 300kHz

4. Should have voltage mode Error amplifier (Comp and FB pins)

Important note : Please suggest a part which has a Simetrix/Simplis model.

Please suggest suitable parts for my above requirements.

Just wanted to ask a few questions to be able to recommend a part:

Does it have to be a controller or can it be a converter?
What Output voltage and Output current?

Hello Cesar,

It has to be controller with external switch.

Output voltage & Output current : Our requirement is to convert 400V to 250V @4A. So we plan to use isolated driver to drive the external MOSFET. Here I hope it is not required to consider output voltage and current to select buck controller.

Hi Manimuthu,

Have you considered an LLC controller for this power level? This is a resonant topology and can achieve very high conversion efficiencies. We have a new LLC controller the UCC25660 which could easily support this power level. If you want to see a short introduction to the LLC topology, check out this video.

Hi Manimuthu,

Maybe I am not reading the above properly. It looks like you want to convert 400V to 250V at 4A which is an output power of 1000W. Since an isolated gate driver is mentioned, I am assuming you are looking for an isolated topology, Is my understanding correct?
