Hi, Support Team
We want to know TPS65320D-Q1 operating vaule?
Design input:
Vin=12V
Vout=3.3V
Iout=0.000007A
Fixed frequency PWM control
if any suggestion, Please advise me.
Thanks,
Best regards,
Lawrence

Good Morning Lawrence,
What operating value are you needing?
Kind regards,
Conner Gillette
I am working on calculating the efficiency with the parameters you've designated above and will have an answer for you by end of tomorrow.
Kind regards,
Conner Gillette
With an input quiescent current of 470uA, and your output current being 7uA, the efficiency would be very low for this use case. What is your use case for this part, I might be able to help you find a suitable alternative.
Kind regards,
Conner Gillette
Hi Conner,
The system, in Sleep mode, shuts down all ICs except the Deserializer, and the overall power consumption should be less than 100uW. The Deserializer's power consumption in sleep mode is 34.2uA (1.8V) and 7uA (3.3V) respectively.
Thanks
Hi, Conner
so our client point is in sleep mode, the power ic spec is
Vin=12V
Vout=3.3V
Iout=0.000007A
Fixed frequency PWM control
and we know the efficiency would be very low for this case. Could share TPS65320D-Q1 of efficiency in converting?
if any, Please advise me.
Thanks,
Best regards,
Lawrence
I will have to obtain an EVM and measure the efficiency myself. I will update you early next week with progress.
Kind regards,
Conner Gillette
I have ordered an EVM to complete the efficiency measurements myself. Once it is in hand, I will complete the measurements and report back to you.
Kind regards,
Conner Gillette
Hi Lawrence,
I do not think an EVM efficiency measurement with a 7uA output is going to provide any new understanding since the efficiency calculation should be straightforward (VOUT*IOUT / VIN*IIN) and since the input quiescent current is very high compared to the output load, the efficiency will not be good.
I will go ahead and close this thread unless there is something else needed.
Best regards,
Matt
