Hi,
Compliment of the season!
Could you help me with an alternative boost inductor (L2) used in the UCC28600 120-W Evaluation Module. I cannot find the L2 listed on the BOM.
Also could you please confirm that the attached picture showing the connections of L2 is correct. Ground trace and R6 trace are connected to the same pin and D6 and R7 traces are connected to the same pin.
Kind regards,
Bright
Also, could you please provide the datasheet for boost inductor used. Xfmr, boost inductor, 232 mH, 1.122 x 1.122 inch, Cooper Electronic, CTX16-17298. Thank you
In addition, regarding the L2 232uH inductance, is it that the series or parallel inductance?
Bright,
The connection diagram you posted looks correct and the phasing is correct for the ZCD winding. Cooper Electronic (Eaton), CTX16-17298 is obsolete and no longer in production which is why you can't find the data sheet. I checked the TI EVM archives and was also unable to find, even a pre-obsolete data sheet. Here is an example of a Wurth 750340834, 200W boost inductor with ZCD winding that closely matches what you are asking. The AE team at Wurth is very good at helping revise an existing component or design a new one to meet your application.
Regards,
Steve
