Use as a current regulator. National has formula Iout= (V2-3)/R1 and TI has Ipout= V2-3.R1

Which is correct and V2 is not defined anywhere?

Hi Allen,

The correct formula is (V2-3)/R1 + IQ.

Definitions for V2 and V3 are included in the document AN-103 LM340 Series Three Terminal Positives Regulators Rev A. V2 and V3 correspond to pin numbers.
