TPS2121: No output in TPS2121 when only IN2 is connected to a valid supply

Hi team,

We are using TPS2121 Power Mux in our design. During testing we observed the following issue. When only IN2 of TPS2121 is connected to 5V supply, no output is seen. Attached schematics for your reference. Please let us know what could be the issue.

Hi Keerthana,

Do both IN1 and IN2 work fine when both INs are present?

Can you try replacing the CP2 resistor with 5k/5k instead of 10k/10k, and see if that makes a difference?

Also, is output 0V when only IN2 is connected?

Hi Patrick,

When both IN1 and IN2 are supplied with 5V, we are seeing the output of 5V, however when we reduce the IN1 below 2.5V no output is seen even when IN2 is present. As soon as IN1 goes below 2.5V output is 0V. Also only when IN2 is connected output is 0V. We will try replacing 10k/10k at CP2 with 5k/5k
