Can the internal OVP time of the IC be extended for a longer period of 1uS when testing for electrostatic discharge in the safety category .

    No, the internal OVP timing is fixed, there is no way to extend it.

    Since the OVP responds to the voltage on the FB pin, you could add a capacitor from FB to GND to slow down the dV/dt of the FB pin and delay the pin reaching the OVP threshold.

    If you are using RCC injection to allow D-CAP control to work with low ESR output capacitors, you could consider reducing the value of the DC blocking injection capacitor to reduce the high-frequency injection of Vout transients into the FB pin.
