Please have a look at the first/second page of the datasheet. The improved package of the L is giving you some thermal improvement.

Is it possible to use TPS61288L with an input voltage of 3.6 -6.5 V? Output voltage 6.9 V. Load current 1.2 A.

Yes, but I would recommend using a device with a lower current limit as this will be more suited for your application. For example TPS6108x family.

I need a minimum FB voltage since I am designing a current stabilizer. What is the maximum input voltage of TPS61288L with an output voltage of 6.9 V. Load current 1.2 A.

Hi Alex,

the maximum input voltage is related with the minimum on time and switching frequency of the device.

Dmin=Ton_min*fs; Vin_max= Vout*(1-Dmin)/eff;

To leave some margin, the maximum input voltage can be 6.8V.
