Customer is using TPS25940 as the EFUSE for the current limit of the super cap charging. The application is PAC/PLC industrial controller.

Q1: When super cap is being charged, there is a delay time as shown waveform below. Could you help to explain why?

Q2: We found that the FLT is asserted during operation. We'd like to know how to identify what the exact fault behavior is in system? Can we do it?

Hi Brian,

1. In figure 1 we need to see VOUT in reference to VIN and EN. Do we have that waveform showing VIN,EN,VOUT?

2. In 2nd case VIN is falling so device is detecting reverse current so FLT goes low.

For the second case, is there a way to tell what sort of fault is happening when FLT goes low?

As I said it looks reverse current as VOUT is above VIN.
