Hi,

The customer would like to get a recommendation for the product to be applied to the DSS(Deploy side step).

Customers use it below 5A, but they need a product that is turn-off if it is above 5A.

Please recommend it.

Cho,

A high-side switch would be a good fit here and our high-side switches have adjustable current limits that would make it ideal for this sort of application.

Could you provide what exactly is being driven here on the load? What is the steady state load current and are there any significant inductances/capacitances?

Hi Timothy,

The load is an LED and the customer only needs to do BYPASS the source voltage of the LED being driven.

Nominal current has not yet been determined.

If a current of 5A or higher is generated, simply turn it off.

TPS1HB50-Q1 would be a good fit here, depending on what the nominal load current is.
