Hello,

      We use it on the battery protection board and during testing, it was found that when the temperature drops to a certain value (such as -20 ° C),

        the battery capacity read through I2C is 0 (the actual capacity should not be 0, it should be close to 70%),

        and we also read it as 0 through the Battery Management Studio tool (as shown in the figure below).

        At this time, we restore the temperature to room temperature, and the battery capacity reading value remains unchanged, always 0.

        What is the problem? Is there a solution?

    Has a learning cycle been successfully completed for this gauge and cell?

    Also, is the bq28z610 EVM being used or is a custom PCB being used?

      Thanks for your reply.

       Yes, we use our own designed PCB. The battery protection board uses BQ28Z610, while the charging board uses BQ25792.

       The battery has been charged and discharged many times in a room temperature environment, and this issue occurred during our low-temperature testing.

        At room temperature, we fully charge the battery and then place it in a -20 ° C environment.

        Within 10 minutes, we notice that the battery level has decreased to 0% capacity (battery voltage still exists), and even if it returns to room temperature,

        it still remains at 0%. We need to charge the battery to restore its capacity .

    Has the GPCRB tool been used for this gauge yet? This can assist in optimizing the low temperature performance of the gauge.
