We've designed the TLC5946 into a new product, and now testing prototypes. In our design we are using the DC mode to give 63 brightness levels, and not using GS mode. (MODE pin is HIGH).
On testing our prototype, we were unable to have the outputs activate until we raised the GSCLK signal (Originally pulled LOW in our design).
This is contrary to figure 12 of the Data Sheet, which shows the outputs activating within time Td6 from the rising XLAT signal, while the GSCLK signal is low.
Is this an error in the data sheet, or should we be looking closer at our design for some other problems causing this behavior?
