TPSF12C1: CSEN1/2

Part Number: TPSF12C1

Hi,

Is there a formula to determine the value of CSEN1/2?

The datasheet uses a 680pF capacitor, but I want to check if I can use a 1000pF capacitor. What happens if the CSEN value increases?

Best Regards,

Nishie

  • Hi Nishie,

There is no formula to determine the value of CSEN1/2. The 680pF value was chosen to work optimally with the internal components to create high-pass pass filter and to reject the AC line frequency (50Hz/60Hz).  You can use a larger CSEN capacitor but the insertion loss at the frequency of interest (100kHz-1MHz) drops, I believe.
