LP5569: Use absolute fade

Part Number: LP5569
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5813

Hi,

I am searching for a way to ramp an output to a relative position. As the ramp instruction uses relative values, I don't think this is what I need.

For example, I would like to change the output to 0xff red with 10ms / step without knowing the current state.

Is this possible with the LP5569?

Thanks!

  • Hi Michiel,

    Sorry to late reply!

I think LP5569 can't satisfy your requirement. Would you consider our new device with better animation engine and performance, the next generation of LP5569 ---- LP5813?

    BR, Jared

  • Hi Jared,

Thanks for the reply. One of our requirements is setting the i2c address by an input pin so unfortunately the LP5813 is not satisfying our requirements.
I will have a deeper look into the alternatives.

    Thanks and kind regards,

    Michiel

  • Hi Michiel,

Although LP5813 can't change the chip address by an input pin, LP5813 does have 4 different chip address and they are respectively decided by part number. Please refer the below table:

I am not sure if 4 chip address can satisfy your requirement. Please let me know if you have any questions.
