TPS1H200A-Q1: TPS1H200A-Q1

Part Number: TPS1H200A-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS1HTC30-Q1

Hi TI tech team,

I am considering  TPS1H200A-Q1 in my circuit design.i will operating this MOSFET at 40V but due load  motor Back emf effect of 5v to 6V when motor is running.

So TPS1H200A-Q1 Smart MOSFET will see 46V  approxmately for some time when motor is running or also continuous it can see that voltage as motor is running long time.

There will be no problem to TPS1H200A-Q1 know as it has 45 to 65V drain to source internal  clamp. ( or ) there will be bad effect to the TPS1H200A-Q1.

Can you please go through my query and give me solution to it.

Awaiting for the early response,

Thank you,

  • Karthik,

The VDS clamp is there specifically for when there is an inductive discharge event on the output. If anything resembling DC current is going through the VDS clamp, there is a chance the device would be damaged and it is not supported. The device is designed for 12V automotive operating conditions and while it would support 40V nominal operation, anything above this would not be guaranteed.

The TPS1HTC30-Q1 would be rated for continuous DC operation up to 64V.

    Best Regards,
    Tim
