LM9061: Points to consider when using this product

Part Number: LM9061

Dear TI team

Is the following understanding correct when using "LM9061"?

Please advise if there are any other points to consider.

The "ON/OFF" pin of "LM9061" can be asserted at a voltage -0.3V lower than the "Supply voltage" (VCC) of "LM9061".

For the Output Voltage (gate voltage) when the "ON/OFF" pin of "LM9061" is asserted, check "figure 5" in the data sheet.

The output (source voltage) of the MOSFET connected to "LM9061" is the value obtained by subtracting the voltage drop due to the on-resistance of the MOSFET from VCC (drain voltage).

  • Hi Taroimo,

Thanks for reaching out. Please see the responses below.

    Answer to the question 1:

Recommended Operating Condition for ON/OFF input voltage is shown below.

Logic voltage levels for the ON/OFF pin are shown below.

    Answer to the question 2:

    Yes

    Answer to the question 3:

The LM9061 monitors the voltage drop from drain to source, VDS, across the MOSFET. Pin 2 measures the drain voltage of the MOSFET and Pin 1 measures the source voltage of the MOSFET.
