LP2989: ok

Part Number: LP2989

Hello,

I want to understand about the Shut down current and Quiescent current difference of the LDO IC. And how we related to the Automotive Vehicle condition.

What will be the scenario at the time of Vehicle ON and OFF if we uses LDO IC in Lamp lighting and Instrument cluster.

  • Hello,

The spec you are looking for is the one I've highlighted below for the OFF case. The rows above this spec are for the ON case. I don't know what the last row is because VSD < 0.4V doesn't have any significance as far as I can tell.

Does this device need to be Q100 qualified? LP2989 isn't Q100 qualified so I guess probably not, but I was wondering because we have TPS7A26 which is a device that is fabricated on a much newer technology process and has better shutdown current as well, but is not Q100 qualified.

    Regards,

    Nick
