BQ25306: IC getting heated too much

Can you also share the schematic with components used for the design?

Can you confirm during charge that the programmed charge current is being applied to the batteries?

Thanks for the reply.I have attached the required file with this mail.

Also, the Heating of ic will increase after 1 Amp. And we require the charging current 2.7Amp.

Currently, we are not using power path management, Means Q1 mosfet is Not placed.

Do you have temperature measurements of the IC during higher charge currents? Is the charger going into thermal regulation?

What efficiency are you getting with your design? This can help us determine how much heat is being generated on the board that we need to dissipate.

Currently, we have not measured the temperature but we can say that the temperature is about 75 to 80 C.

Can you share the SW node waveform when switching and the VBUS, VBAT nodes? What are your input/out measurements to calculate efficiency?

If you keep the IC cooler are you able to reach higher charge current? This would eliminate the possibility of thermal regulation.
