BQ24179: BQ24178-Cannot be charged

Hi TI team,

When the resistance of PROG is changed from 6.04 kΩ to 8.2 kΩ, BQ24179 cannot be charged, but when it is changed back to 6.04 kΩ, it can be charged normally. May I ask what causes this?

Hi Switch,

When changing to 8.2kohm, did you also increase the inductor from 1uH to 2.2uH? If not the, the inductor ripple current may be too large and tripping the converter's cycle by cycle current limit.

The current inductance is 2.2uH.Is there any other place that needs to be changed, such as which register?

Hi Switch,

No. There is no other register that needs to change. What do the status and fault registers report? Note that the fault registers reset after being read.
