TPS51200: Output voltage is not generating properly from TPS51200 through VO and REFOUT

Part Number: TPS51200

Hi,

Output voltage is not generating from TPS51200.

The required output Voltage at VO and REFOUT is 0.75V but the generating voltage at REFOUT is 1.34V and at VO is 0.002V.

Attaching the circuit image here, Please looking into the ckt and help me with the query.

  • Hi Tallavalasa,

Can you populate the VOSNS resistor, R173, and let us know the results?

Any oscilloscope captures of the input signals and output signals would be helpful.

Additionally an ABA swap would be helpful to know the results, as this could be the results of a short via ESD or soldering/trace issues.

    Thanks,
    Field

  • Hi field Tolson,

Thank you for the reply, Actually we kept short in the place of R173, even though there is no sign of output.

    Thanks,

    Venkatesh

  • Hi Venkatesh,

Do you have scope captures to share that show VIN, VLDOIN, REFOUT, and VO in the same picture? I would like to see the power up waveforms and the timing between the rails. Be sure to measure the waveforms as close to the pins as possible.

Also were you able to perform an A-B-A swap to see if the issue follows the IC or the board?

    Regards,

    James
