UCC25660: A question about the UCC25660X Design Calculator

Part Number: UCC25660

Can someone please explain to me what to do with the following information.

If I enter Qe in cell C56 with 0.37, the LLC Gain curve is OK, but in cell C102 it says "CAUTION. Update Cell C57 with new Qe"

If, on the other hand, I enter 0.46 in cell Qe, the LLC gain curve is not ok, but cell C102 says "Gain curve is up to date"

I am a little unsure if I should ignore this information, or if I would be making a mistake in the design if I continue to work with Qe = 0.37.

Many thanks in advance

  • Hello,

    Please see my comments below.

Can someone please explain to me what to do with the following information.

If I enter Qe in cell C56 with 0.37, the LLC Gain curve is OK, but in cell C102 it says "CAUTION. Update Cell C57 with new Qe"

    >Based on Qe and your Lr and Lm turns ratio the tool feels that your gain curves might be too steep.

    >However it your minimum, maximum input voltages and Lr and Lm are correct.  The normalized gain curve looks like the design should work.

If, on the other hand, I enter 0.46 in cell Qe, the LLC gain curve is not ok, but cell C102 says "Gain curve is up to date"

    >I would no go with this curve and use your previous selection.

I am a little unsure if I should ignore this information, or if I would be making a mistake in the design if I continue to work with Qe = 0.37.

    >I would go with the Qe that meets both your minimum and maximum input voltages.
