LP8863-Q1: The central control screen is black, and the LP8863-Q1 BLMODE reads 01

Part Number: LP8863-Q1

Hi team,

Customer 8863 has a black screen. I checked the register and found that this register is set to 01. I see that 1 is reserve. Under what circumstances will this register be set to 1?

  • Hi, Alan

We have communicated during the wechat, pls let customer check if it is the communication problem.

  • Hi Zhiqian,

You can see in the code that this value will be checked. If it is not 0, it will be set to 0!

Now, according to customer feedback, the time when the screen goes black coincides with the time when the register reads 01. In the problem state, there is a touch button sound, but there is no backlight and no image. After restarting, the screen can work normally. After analyzing the code, the action of writing 01 is executed in the main function, so it will not be executed. Moreover, the register also read 01 in the log after restarting without backlight or image.

Do you have any advice for customers regarding the current problem?

  • Today, I asked the customer to perform power-on by hibernation and power-on by forced restart, but no 0x01 message was found in the read register. So the error with this value can be solved by writing 00?

  • HI, Alan

our dimming control mode is related with the register value. So 0x01 is unexpected.
