TPS544C26: Need passcode to unlock TPS544C26

Hi team,

I am using TPS544C26 IC, one thing that I observed is when I am using RAddr resistor as 0ohms, and after checking in Fusion software I2C GUI scan device option, I am getting the device at 7Fh address whereas for 0ohms, 70h address is expected. I tried to change the resistor value to 30.1k, so accordingly 75h was expected, but still device was found at 7Fh.

Second thing is, when I am changing any thing in Configuration tab, I am not able to change anything and the value is getting back to original value and getting error as attached below.

Found the FAQ post, in which Passcode is given for TPS544C26 IC, so I need the Passcode also to change the values in configuration tab according my requirement.

Hi Siddhi,

1. For your I2C address issue, it is likely caused by solder flux contamination. Please try to clean the address resistor area deeply with alcohol and water.

2. For unlocking the TPS544C26, please refer to attached user's guide.

Hi Nancy,

Thanks for the user guide. We will try out the things given in the user guide.

We tried to clean the board near the resistor area. Checked the connectivity and dry solder probability.

But still getting 7Fh as address in fusion inspite of connecting resistor of 30.1k ohms.

Hi Siddhi,

Please check the soldering of address pin if that is poor solder or not connect to the PCB at all. If that pin is float and not connecting to the board, it will be always 7Fh. Reflow the IC and deep clean it.

Hi Nancy,

We replaced TPS544C26 IC with new device and found that there was internal short in the previous IC which was not getting detected.

But after replacing with new IC, the device is getting detected in software with correct PMBus address.
