Hi,

When any short circuit event happens on any output channel.

What is the status of Fault Pin?

Is the channel open at any short circuit event on that channel?

Also what is the current

Chin,

The current will regulate to what the set current limit is and regulate the current until there is a thermal fault. The fault pin will be asserted low once the thermal fault occurs and the channel will be shut off. See the following video for more information about protection features:

It depends on the layout- I have a calculator that I can provide for a standard JEDEC 2s2p layout. Would it be OK to email you this to the email associated with your TI.com email address?
