TPS2660: UVLO & OVP is not required should the pins connected to IN?

Tool/software:

Under-Voltage Lock-Out function is not needed, the UVLO terminal must be connected to the IN terminal as per datasheet recommendation.

Similarly if OVP is not required should the pin connected to IN?

Hi Raj,

OVP pin is 4V rated pin so you need to use resistor ladder from IN. other option is to connect to RTN pin externally to select the internal default threshold of 32.6V

Hi Rakesh,

Thanks for you response. I don't want OVP mechanism in my design. In this case is it recommended to leave the OVP pin floating?

Hi Raj,

No it is not recommended to leave OVP pin floating. Use resistor divider and set OVP threshold at 60V or higher so that it is disabled for your working voltage range.
