I need to calculate the worst possible error for my series voltage reference to help with my ADC gain error calculations. How is that done, and are there any resources to help me with that calculation?

    To calculate the worst-case or maximum error, you must consider the sum total of the various errors of a voltage reference as they are outlined in the datasheet. Specifications such as initial accuracy, temperature drift, long-term drift, and others are amongst the most important to consider.     Highest precision voltage references, such as REF50, REF54, or REF70 from TI, will provide the least amount of gain error for any high precision ADC because of their low drift and high accuracy. However, lower power references such as REF35, REF34, and REF4132 can also provide a precise and accurate voltage reference for low power applications and other ADC use cases.
